Our management team combines a proven track record of business management with innovative design and multidisciplinary knowledge to create many different wastewater treatment applications across a variety of industries.

Lou Silvio

Lou Silvio

Founder & CEO • Director of Product Development & Chief Designer

Lou Silvio oversees the company’s new products, creation of standards, and needs assessment/sales for all custom solutions. He is a recognized expert in wastewater treatment and has presented to consulting engineering firms, government agencies, and industry conferences.

Lou held executive-level positions in several large New England manufacturing companies including PX Engineering, Nelmor, K.H. Fredericks Co., and M/A Com, Eastern Technologies Ltd., and Remedial Systems Inc. Lou began consulting to the environmental engineering industry. At Remedial Systems, he built the company’s Stormwater Treatment Division to apply the company’s existing groundwater remediation technology to this new use. He grew the young company’s market share and product line.

Recognizing the opportunity for further innovation, he started Hydro Quip in 1996.  The company’s first product was an oil water separator made from stainless steel that outperformed the existing standard approach.

Lou holds a Degree in Accounting and Management from Johnson and Wales University.

Bethany Silvio-Auclair

Bethany Silvio-Auclair

Vice President of Finance and Operations

Bethany oversees the finances and operations of the company, and handles marketing and business development for all of Hydro Quip’s products and technology. In addition, she supports the product engineers with interpretation of soil, air, and wastewater analysis data supplied by clients and third-party laboratories. She held positions in industrial laboratories including Alpha Analytical and RI Analytical for over nine years.

Bethany holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Rhode Island.

Paul Desmarais

Paul Desmarais

General Manager

Paul is responsible for day-to-day management of all oil water separator projects. He handles sales, customer service, purchasing, inventory, and development of CAD drawings for standard and custom solutions. He attended Rhode Island College, and previously worked for Northeast Electrical Distributors and E.M. Network Products.

Tim Auclair

Tim Auclair

Product Manager/Product Engineer

Tim is responsible for all of Hydro Quip’s below-ground separation equipment and inclined plate clarifiers. He assists clients with soil, site, seismic, and structural analysis, and siting for below-ground equipment. He has worked previously as a Senior Lab Chemist at Groundwater Analytical and Rhode Island Analytical Laboratory. He is experienced with EPA and state methods.

Tim attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science with a minor in Chemistry.

Gordon Clarke

Gordon Clarke

NEEP Technical Support

Gordon is responsible for the technical and sales support of the NEEP ShallowTray® Low Profile Air Stripper.  He has been involved with the NEEP product line for 20 years. He started off in the research and development of the ShallowTray and was then in customer service, sales, and project management in the following years. Most recently he was an independent consultant for the ShallowTray. Gordon was also involved in a startup company in New Hampshire, and has over 40 years of management skills in various industries.

Gordon has an Agricultural Associates Degree from Cedara Agricultural College, Cedara, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.
